How our Wireless works

Access Points are located within the coverage area, and the customer antenna is then pointed directly at it, in order to receive the signal from the Access Point.

Customer Locations will require that the Access Point be visible from the customers location, so "Line of Sight", is required in order to receive the signal.

Installation begins with choosing a suitable rooftop, or other high location that the Intergrated Radio/Antenna can be mounted securely, facing the Access Point.

Site Surveying then begins, in order to confirm the required reception level from the Access Point, to the Intergrated Radio/Antenna, is at an acceptable level.

Cabling is then run from the Intergrated Radio/Antenna, down the outside wall, and a cable entry point is then drilled through the wall. It is then weatherproofed

Inside, the cable is then connected to the Power Over Ethernet (poe) device, and it is required to be connected to a 110V power receptacle, to power the radio.

Ethernet cable is then run from the computers ethernet port (required), to the poe device. This connects the computer, or a broadband router, to the radio.

The Computer, or a broadband router, is then configured for Internet access from the installed radio. Hi-Speed Wireless Internet Service is Now Available.

Broadband Router, as mentioned above, is not included, but is available for purchase, or you can provide your own. A broadband Router can enable Internet access to multiple computers and laptops, in your home or business.

Antenna Restrictions, if someone is telling you that you can not place an antenna on your home or property, in most cases that is false. Please see, http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html for the FCC rules.
